9 meses en México

Hei/hi/hola!


Eli nyt on kulunut noin yhdeksän kuukautta Meksikossa ja olo on outo. On ollut mun elämän tapahtumarikkaimat yhdeksän kuukautta. Vielä vähän edessä (liian vähän). Tähän väliin teen tälläisen lyhyen päivityksen/postauksen, koska huomenna on lahto Ruta Mayalle. Ja luultavasti matkan aikana ei pahemmin ole mahdollisuuksia kirjoitella blogiin joten tässä välissä nyt vähän kuulumisia. Voi olla että jos jossain hotellissa sattuu olemaan hyvä nettiyhteys ja että vaan jos sattuu olemaan ylimääräistä aikaa (mitä epäilen) niin voin jonkun päivityksen välissä kirjoittaa. Toivoisin että n. puolivälissä reisua voisin tehdä ensimmäisen osan Ruta Maya postauksesta ja matkan päätteeksi toisen osan. Mutta saa nähdä miten tuo sujuu. Että älkää ihmetelkö jos ei kuukauteen kuulu musta mitään, tarkoittaa sitä että olen reissussa ja että olen kiireinen :).

It have been now about nine months in Mexico and I am feeling very weird. These nine months have been the most eventful months of my life. Still I have fe months ahead (too few). In the middle of everything I am now doing a little bit shorter post/inform because tomorrow we are going to the trip Ruta Maya. And probably I will not be able to write to my blog so because of this I am now informing a bit of what has happened etc. It may be that if some hotel has a good internet connection and if I would happened to have some "free time" (which I doupt) I could be writing a post. I hope that in the middle of tghe Ruta Maya I could do a post of the first part of Ruta Maya and in that in the end of Ruta Maya I could do the second part. But we will see how it goes. But don´t worry if you don´t hear anything from me in a month, that means that I am on a trip and I am busy :).

Ya fueron mas o menos nueve meses en México y me siento muy rara. Estos nueve meses fueron los meses más memorables de mi vida. Todavía me quedan unos meses (tan poquitos). En entre de todo voy a escribir un texto mas cortito porque mañana en la mañana vamos a empezar la Ruta Maya. Y probablemente no voy a poder escribir en este viaje a mi blog y por eso estoy haciendo esto ahora para que sepan que ha pasado etc. Puede ser que sí algún hotel tiene muy bueno conexión de Internet y también si voy a tener tiempo (lo dudo) voy a escribir a mi blog. Espero que si puedo escribir cuando estoy en la Ruta Maya, quiero escribir la primera parte en la mitad de viaje y la segunda parte en el final de viaje. Pero vamos a ver que pasará. Pero no te preocupes si no escuchas nada sobre mi aquí en un mes, solo significa que estoy en el viaje y que tengo prisa :).


Takasin koulussa! Maanantaina loppui loma ja aloitettiin koulunpenkillä aamu seitsemältä. Nyt kun asun kolmannessa perheessä niin oon aina mennyt kävellen kouluun, koska koulu on kerrankin lähellä. Joku n. 15 minuuttia kävellen. Ihana nähdä taas kaikkia kavereita ja mikäpä siinä kouluun menossa nyt mua muutenkaan haittaisi. Ainut ongelma mulle on se kun se koulu alkaa niin aikaisin aamulla ja kun mä en tunnetusti ole oikein aamuihminen.

Back to school! On Monday the vacations ended and we did start again in the front of the school tables at seven in the morning. Now when I am living with my third family, I usually go to school by foot because finally the school is near to my home. It is about 15 minutes walking. It was great to see my friends again and I don´t mind going school. Just the only problem for me is that the school starts too early, I am not known as a morning person.

Y ya volvimos a la escuela! En lunes terminaron los vacaciones y empezamos nuestro clase a las seis en la mañana. Ahora cuando vivo con mi tercera familia yo he ido a la escuela caminando. Porque al final la escuela queda mas cerca. Son como 15 minutos caminando. Estuvo muy bien a ver a mis amigos y no me molesta ir a escuela, solo el única problema es que no me gusta levantar muy temprano y las clases empiezan muy temprano.

Mä olin tänään kylässä mun kaverin tykönä ja nappasin muutamia kuvia kolibreista. Ne on kyllä niin kauniita otuksia mutta vaan niin nopeita ja pieniä että vaikeaa ottaa kuvia. Mutta voi noista kuvista nyt vähän nähdä jos oikein katsoo tarkkaan.

I was visiting my friend today and I took few fotos of the kolibri birds. They are so beautiful creatures but so fast and small that it is hard to take pictures. But if you look closely you maybe will see the little birds in the pictures.

Yo fui a visitar mi amiga hoy y tomé unas fotos de los colibrís. Estas criaturas son muy bonitas pero mueven tan rápido y son muy pequeñas, entonces por eso es muy difícil a tomar fotos. Pero si concentras en las fotos, tal vez los puedes ver.

Viikonloppuna vaihtari joka on Taiwanista oli viettämässä aikaa mun perheen kanssa, koska mun tämänhetkinen perhe on hänen ensimmäinen perheensä. Joten vietettiin sitten aikaa yhdessä, mentiin esim elokuviin si siskon ja tän vaihtarin kanssa ja hän jopa toi Taiwanilaisia karkkeja, ihan super hyviä!

On the weekend the exchange student fron Taiwan was visiting my family because my third family is his second family. And because of this we were spending time together like we went to movies with my sister and him and he even did bring candies from Taiwan, those were so good!

En la fin de semana estudiante de intercambio de Taiwan visitó a mi familia porque mi tercera familia es su primera familia. Y por eso pasamos tiempo juntos, por ejemplo fuimos al cine con mi hermana y con el. Y también nos llevó dulces de Taiwan, son bien ricos!

Loma/spring break/vacaciones

Loma, loma, loma. Semana Santa ja pääsiäinen. Haluan pääsiäiskarkkeja suomesta! Ne on ihan parhaita! Tässä vielä viikko kotona ennen ruta mayaa!!! Oon niin innoissani! Mutta samaan aikaan oon myös totaalisen kauhuissani. Vajaat kolme kuukautta jäljellä. Mihinkä tää aika on mennyt?! Samaan aikaan haluan hirveästi nähdä perhettä ja kavereita ja sukulaisia ja kaikkia suomesta, mutta samaan aikaan haluan jäädä tänne. On nyt kyllä niin ristiriitaiset tunteet päällä. Mutta varmaan jokainen joka on ollut vaihdossa voi ainakin jossain määrin samaistua tähän tunteiden sekamelskaan. Muutenkin vaihdossa ollessa koettelee niin erilaiset ja arvaamattomat tunteet ja niiden kanssa on osattava sitten vaan painaa eteenpäin. Ja kaikille niille jotka ovat vasta lähdössä vaihtoon ja ovat eksyneet lukemaan tätä blogia: ihan turha säikähtää tätä tunteiden sekamelskaa, varmastikkaan kaikille se ei tule olemaan samanlainen kokemus, mutta totuus on että suurin osa käy läpi tällaista samankaltaista. Ei saa kuitenkaan säikähtää, se on kaikki sen arvoista!

It is Semana santa and easter! I so do want easter candies from Finland, they are literally the best! Now a week at home before the start of Ruta maya! Whaaat. I am sooo excited! But at the same time I feel so scared. Like I have not even three months left of my exchange. Where has the time gone?! At the same time I want so badly see my family, friends and relatives back in Finland but at the same time I want to stay here. Right now my feelings are such a mess. But I am sure that everyone who have been on a exchange can more or less know how it feels. When you are on a exchange you have so many weird and strong feelings but you just have to learn how to live with those. And for those who are going to be exchange students and have found their way to read this blog: don't be scared of the storm of feelings when it comes, I am sure that for everyone it is not going to be excatly the same experience but the truth is that most of the people on exchange will have to go trough something similar. But really hey don't get scared, I sure you that it is worth it!

Vacaciones, vacaciones, vacaciones. Semana santa y pascua! Quiero dulces de pascua de Finlandia haha son literalmente los mejores dulces! Ahora me queda una semana a ruta maya! Queeeee. Estoy tan contenta! Pero en lo mismo tiempo tengo miedo. Me quedan menos que tres meses de intercambio. ¿Qué pasó con el tiempo, a dónde se fue? En el mismo tiempo quiero ver toda mi familia y mis amigos de Finlandia pero también en el mismo tiempo quiero quedar aquí. Ahora mis sentimientos son un desastre. Pero estoy segura que todos quienes han ido a intercambio saben mas o menos como se siente . Cuando estas en intercambio tienes muchos sentimientos muy raros y muy fuertes a veces pero solo necesitas aprender de vivir con estos sentimientos. Y para ellos quienes planean a ir a intercambio y llegaron aquí para leer mi blog: no necesitas tener miedo de estos sentimientos y estoy segura que para todos no es la misma cosa pero es la verdad que la mayoridad va a tener una experiencia similar. Pero enserio que no tengas miedo, todo esto se vale la pena!



Kävin semmoisessa puutarhassa nimeltä Jardín Botanico. Mun tärkeä ystäväni vei mut sinne, koska hän tietää miten paljon mä pidän luonnosta ja kasveista ym. Oli tosi kiva viettää aikaa mun ystävän kanssa ja toi paikka on kyllä oikeesti tosi upea. Siellä on enemmän kuin 1000 erilaista kasvia.

I went to a place called Jardín Botanico. My really important friend took me there because he knows how much I love nature and plants etc. It was great spending time with him and ofcourse the place was totally gorgeus. They have more than 1000 different species of plants there.

Yo fui a visitar a un lugar que se llama Jardín Botánico. Uno amigo muy importante me llevó allá porque el sabe que tanto me gustan la naturaleza y las plantas etc. Estuvo bien a pasar tiempo con él y claro que sí el lugar estuvo super bonito. En el Botánico hay más que 1000 diferentes especies de las plantas.

Mun 2.perhe kutsui mut niiden kanssa serkun syntymäpäiväjuhliin. Vaihto-oppilas ranskasta tuli myös juhliin koska mun 2.perhe oli hänen ensimmäinen perheensä. Juhlat olivat salongissa, missä monet tämän perheen juhlista yleensäkin ovat. Kaunis paikka, uitiin, syötiin ja pidettiin hauskaa.

My second family invited me to go with them to a birthday party of one of the cousins. A french exchange student came with us too because my second family was his first family. The party was in a salong where this family usually keeps their parties. It is a very beautiful place, we were swimming, eating (ofc) and just having fun.

Mi segunda familia me invitaron a una fiesta de cumpleaños de un primo. También un intercambista de Francia fue con nosotros porque mi familia era su primera familia. La fiesta estuvo en un salón en donde normalmente hacen las fiestas de la familia. Es un lugar muy bonito, metimos al alberca y comimos (obvio) y solo pasamos muy buen tiempo juntos.




Myöskin näin taas vaihteeksi mun ensimmäistä perhettä. Mun pikkuveli ensimmäisestä perheestä täytti 8 vuotta ja mun 1.perhe halus että juhlin heidän kanssaan. Pikkuveli piti kaverisynttärit (n.15 muksua) keilahallissa. Täällä meksikossa on monesti tapana että juhlat voidaan järkätä jossain eri kohteessa, että ei välttämättä kotona. Tässä tapauksessa juhlta olivat tosiaan keilahallissa kakkuineen ja koristeineen. Culiacanissa on vissiinkin kaksi keilahallia, mutta mä oon ollut vaan tässä keilahallissa ja sanovat että tämä on parempi ja isompi. Tämä keilahalli on kaksikerroksinen ja alakerrassa on isot keilaradat ja yläkerrassa on tällaiset mini keilaradat. Myös sekä ylä -että alakerrassa on isot läjät pelikoneita, biljardipöytiä, pingispöytiä ym. Oli kivaa synttäreillä ja näin myös muutamaa muuta sukulaista ensimmäisestä perheestä samalla.

Also I got to see my second family too. My little brother from the first family was celebrating hes 8 birthday and the family wanted that I would go to celebrate with them. The little brother kept his party for his friends (like for 15 kids) in a bowling alley. Here in Mexico they do a lot this thing that they keep a birthday party elsewhere and not always in home. So in this case we were all in the bowling alley with the cakes and decorations and stuff. Apparently there is two bowling alleys in Culiacán but I´ve only been in this one and they say that this one is bigger and better. This bowling alley has two floors and in the first and second floor they have places for bowling. In the first floor the allies are bigger and in the second floor they have these cute mini allies for bowling. Also in the first and in the second floor they have a lot of different kinds of gaming machines, billiard tables and ping pong tables etc. The party was nice and I also got to see few more relatives at the same time.

También tenía la oportunidad para ver mi primera familia. Mi hermanito de mi primera familia cumplió 8 años y querían que voy a celebrar con ellos. El hermanito tenía su fiesta (para como 15 niños) en el lugar de boliche. Aquí en México muchas veces hacen que no hagan las fiestas en casa, que van a otros lugares para hacerlas. Entonces en este caso fuimos todos a boliche con los pasteles y con los decoraciones etc. Parece que hay dos lugares aquí en Culiacán en donde puedes ir a boliche pero yo solo he estado en este pero también dicen que esto es mejor y lo más grande. Allá en el boliche hay dos pisos y también tienen un mini boliche en el segundo piso. En el primero piso y en el segundo piso tienen mucho juegos etc. La fiesta estuvo bien y tenía la oportunidad también ver más de mi primera familia, vi una tía y la abuela también.





Kävin kanssa tässä yksi päivä vierailemassa täällä todella tunnetun henkilön musitopaikalla. Siinä samalla käytiin kattomassa jotain vanhaa vetureita ja otettiin pölhöjä kuvia. Toisena päivänä käytiin katsomassa Lomitalta iltanäkymiä, sieltä näkee koko kaupungin :).

One day I went to visit a really known person here in Culiacán, there is a ot of different theories about him. Also I did go with my friend to see some kind of old train and we took a lot of silly fotos. The other day we also went to visit La Lomita again, it is so great cause you can see the whole city from there :).

Otro día también fuimos con mi amigo a conocer este memorial de una persona muy conocida aquí. También fuimos a este viejo estación de los trenes y tomamos unas fotos padres. Y otro día también fuimos a visitar La Lomita, me gusta mucho porque puedo ver toda la ciudad de allá :).

Näkymää La Lomitalta

Tehtiin myös mun hostvanhempien ja hostsiskon kanssa viikonloppumatka Los Mochisiin edellisenä viikonloppuna katsomaan hostisän äitiä ja siinä samalla nähtiin sitten muutamaa serkkuakin. Sinne on joku 2-3 tunnin ajomatka Culiacanista.

We also made a weekend trip past weekend with my host parents and with my host sister to Los Mochis to visit the mother of my host dad and at the same time we saw few cousins too. It´s about 2-3 hours to Los Mochis from Culiacán.

También hicimos una vieja en el pasado fin de semana con mis papás anfitrionas y con mi hermana anfitriona a Los Mochis para visitar la mamá de papá y también en el mismo tiempo vimos unos primos también. Aproximadamente son como 2-3 horas de Culiacán a Los Mochis.

Mitä Meksikoon kuuluu

Hei/Hi/Hola!

Täällä taas. Uudessa perheessä nyt vietetty jo jonkin aikaa ja kaikki hyvin. Koulustakin pääsin taas lomille. Uusi jakso alkaa koulussa sitten taas tässä kuussa ennen meidän Ruta Mayan alkua.

Back at it again. Now I've spent already some time in my new family. Also I am out of school fow a while now because we are on vacations. We will be back at school again in this month before our trip, Ruta Maya.

Y ya (lol) regresé. Ya he estado algo tiempo con mi nueva familia. También ahora estoy en vacaciones del escuela. Vamos a regresar al escuela en este mes antes de nuestro viaje de la Ruta Maya.

Aloitetaan vaikka tästä viimeisestä perheenvaihdosta. Henkisesti raskasta aikaa on ainakin mulle aina olleet noi perheenvaihdot. Mun hostperheiden kanssa me ollaan oltu ihan tosi läheisiä ja oon niin onnellinen että oon saanu olla näiden perheiden kanssa ja nähdä niiden elämäntapoja ja olla osana niiden arkea. Mä en yleisesti mikään hirvee itkuttelija ole mutta kyllä tossa perheiden vaihdossa olin aina pahassa paikassa. Sitä luo ihan erityisen siteen sen hostperheen kanssa. Siinä kasvaa ihmisenä ja oppii sopeutumaan ympäristöön ja erilaisiin olosuhteisiin. Siinä hyvästellessä hostvanhempien kanssa oli kaikilla tippa silmässä. Kuitenkin nyt on toivuttu taas tästä pienestä henkisestä järkytyksestä ja opittu olemaan osa uutta perhettä. Tässä uudessa perheessä mulla on yksi sisko ja yksi veli plus toinen sisko mutta se on tällä hetkellä vaihdossa Taiwanissa. Tykkään tosi paljon tästä uudesta perheestä.

Lets begin with my last change of family. The time when we have to change families has always been really mentally stressing for me. With my host families we have been really close and I am so happy that I have been given the oportunity to see their ways of living and that I have had the opportunity too be a part of their every day lifes. I am not usually a crybaby or anything but every time changing families I have been really tested on how I can take the feels that come with it. With host families you create a really special bond. You grow up as a person and you learn how to adapt yourself into a different kinds of surroundings and situations. When saying goodbyes with my second family we were all feeling very blue. But after all I have gotten over of this mental shock and I have learned how to be a part of a new family again. In this family I have one sister and one brother plus one sister but she is a exchange student in Taiwan at the moment. I really like my new family.

Bueno empezamos con mi última cambio de la familia. Yo siempre siento muy estresada cuando necesitamos cambiar las familias. Con mis familias anfitrionas somos muy cercas y estoy muy feliz que me han dado este oportunidad a conocer sus maneras de vivir y que yo puedo ser parte de sus vidas. Normalmente no soy muy llorona pero en tiempo de cambiar de la familia me han probado si soy suficientemente fuerte para vivir con esos cambios y sentimientos. Con familias anfitrionas creas un vínculo especial. Maduras como persona y aprendes vivir y adaptarte en diferentes situaciones. Diciendo despedidas con mi segunda familia todos sentimos tristes. Pero al final he aprendido a ser parte una nueva familia. En esta familia tengo una hermana y un hermano (también otra hermana pero ahora ella está estudiante de intercambio en Taiwan). Me gusta mucho mi nueva familia.

Ennen perheenvaihtoa mentiin vanhempien ystävän häihin. Oli todella kaunis juhla ja pariskunta todella kaunis. Tapasin taas paljon uusia ihmisiä ja oli mulla taas mahdollisuus päästä ottamaan osaa meksikolaisiin häihin.

Before changing the family we went to a wedding of a friend of my host parents. The celebration was really beautifuñ and the couple was really beautiful. I met a lots of new people and I had once again the oportunity to participate a mexican wedding.

Un poco antes de cambiar mi familia fuimos a una boda. La fiesta estuvo muy bonita. Conocí mucha nueva gente y tenía otra vez la oportunidad a participar a una boda mexicana.

Meillä oli taas myös yksi rotaryn tapahtuma. Yksi Culiacanin rotari klubeista juhlisti vuosia joten he kutsuivat meidät Culiacanin vaihtarit myös. Meillä oli aamupala ja lounas rotarien kanssa. Mutta ennen näitä ihan aamusta meillä oli tapahtuma rotarymonumetin (monumentti polion voitosta) edessä. Siinä aamulla pitivät sitten puheita rotarin tärkeät ihmiset, oli torvisoittokuntaa ja ihmisiä marssimassa, eli ihan näin virallinen tapahtuma. Aamupalan ja lounaan välissä meillä oli sen verran aikaa että mentiin tutustumaan vaihtareitten kanssa Imalaan. Vierailtiin vanhassa kirkossa ja syötiin herkullisia raspadoja. Myöskin tutustuttiin yhteen hautausmaahan.

We participated a rotary event. One of the many rotary clubs in Culiacan was celebrating many years with rotary and because of that they invited to celebrate the exchange students of Culiacan with them. We had breakfast and lunch with rotarians. But before those we had an event infront of the polio statue of rotary. Important people of rotary kept speeches, there was marching and music etc. In between the breakfast and lunch we had some spare time so we went to visit Imala with the exchange students. We visited an old church and we ate some delicious treats called raspados. We also got to visit an old cemetary.

Teníamos un evento de rotario. Rotario estaba celebrando y también invitaron a los intercambistas de Culiacán. Desayunamos con los rotarios y también teníamos una cena con los rotarios. Primera cosa en la mañana era que fuimos al monumento (de polio) del rotario. Allá estabam hablando las personas importantes de rotario, tenían música etc. También teníamos tiempo entre del desayuno y de la comida, entonces fuimos con los intercambistas a conocer la Imala. Fuimos a visitar la iglesia y comimos raspados. También fuimos a conocer un panteón.

Mä vietin jonkun aikaa vaihtarikaveri Evan kotona koska mun vanhemmat oli työmatkoilla. Mentiin käymään mm. Altatassa vähä rannalla. Ja mikä mun mielestä oli ihan yli-ihanaa niin se että Evan perheellähän on kaksi koiraa niin tietysti tämän koirahullun sydän oli sitten ihan pakahtua onnesta! Paljon kiitoksia että sain olla teidän vieraana!

I was spending some time in the house of my exchange student friend Eva because my parents were on a work trips. For example we went to a beach to Altata. And what for me was really exciting that family of Eva has two dogs so this animal lover (me) was going crazy! Thank you so much for the patience to have me as a visitor!

Yo estaba quedando en casa de mi amiga, Eva porque mis padres fueron a el viaje de trabajo. Por ejemplo fuimos a Altata a la playa para tomar un poco sol. Yo estaba super emocionada porque la familia de Eva tiene dos perritas! Muchas gracias que podía quedar con ustedes!

Mut kutsuttiin mun kaverin sedän synttärijuhliin. Juhlat olivat todella hauskat. Kavereiden kanssa ei voi tylsistyä ;).

I was invited to a birthday party of my friends uncle. The party was great. And how could I ever get bored with such an amazing friend ;).

Me invitaron a una fiesta de cumpleaños de tío de mi amiga. La fiesta estuvo super bien. Y nunca puedo aburrir con esta amiga ;).
